The North Pike Middle School dance team is under the direction of Jill Rousseau.  Each spring, the NPMS dance team is selected through a tryout process that includes performing choreography to a panel of dance judges provided through Jackson State Athletics.  Once selected, team members participate in a summer dance camp and regular after-school practices throughout the school year.  Jaguar dance members represent NPMS at home football and basketball games.  They also perform in the McComb Christmas parade and join the NPHS band on the parade route.Throughout the school year, the NPMS dance team learns new choreography to perform in the four NPMS athletic pep rallies as well as the opening and closing of school pep rallies. This year the middle school and high school dance teams combined their talents to perform at a NPHS basketball game. This joint effort demonstrated the skill levels achieved by our middle school dancers as they presented high school level performances.  Dance teams members are required to uphold the highest character traits and must maintain grade point averages set through the Mississippi High School Athletics Association.
