Parent - Teacher Organization

Dear Parents,

  We are doing our best to plan a PTO meeting but due to numerous conflicts, our first meeting may not be till October.  Please accept my apologies. In the meantime, there are multiple way you can help.
* Farrah Alexander will be helping with Ms. Martin with Garden Club this year. More volunteers would be greatly appreciated. They will begin meeting in the next week or two.

 * Brick paver order forms went out with progress reports. Funds raised will go to the activity area behind 5th and 6th grade. We would like to sell at least 200 bricks. Volunteers are needed to help receipt orders, award prizes, write thank you's, etc. Orders are due Sept 24.

 * 5th grade has requested a mural for their hallway. You don't have to be "artsy" to help with this. We would like to begin in the next week or so. As soon as we get volunteers together we will announce a date.

 * Fall Fest is scheduled for Nov. 20. Volunteer sign up will begin around the first week in Nov.

 * Dee Parker and Beverly King are collecting box tops. To date we have collected over 1,500!! That's $150.00. For incentive the homeroom with the most tops collected will receive a popcorn or do-nut party. Volunteers are needed to provide these treats.

 * Molly Johnson will be organizing Teacher Appreciation day in the Spring. more information to come after Christmas.

 * The Monday after Thanksgiving we will be decorating for Christmas. Decorations and volunteers are needed.
We would also like to hear from you. If you have suggests, thoughts, recommendations, etc. of things you would like to see the PTO do or things done around campus, please let us know.
